A neighborhood treasure

It was never
just about candy.

Charm me Sweet was an old-fashioned neighborhood candy store at 4915 Macklind Ave in St. Louis. Its shelves were filled with nostalgic wrapped candies — the kind that made adults remember childhood and gave kids a reason to linger.

The shop became a small but meaningful part of Southampton: a place for after-school treats, community events, stickers, conversations, and little moments of independence.

The story

Eight years of making the neighborhood a little sweeter.

Owner Brittany Bryan ran Charm me Sweet for eight years, watching neighborhood children grow from kids with candy money into young people with their own stories. In 2025, the shop's community expanded next door with The Wonder Shop, a nostalgic toy store created as an extension of the same idea: give kids a welcoming place to discover something joyful.

In February 2026, Bryan announced that Charm me Sweet would close, citing rising costs and changes in the business climate. The store officially closed on February 16, 2026.
